Chilling still in Roatan

This week has gone by pretty quickly. We are taking full advantage of the island' Tica bus. We love taking the long tours to Eldon'. Another reason I feel this week has flown by is because they said our boat may be done next week. Yeah! This means I can start preparing to move back in to my dearly missed.

Here are some pics of the boat. They are wet sanding it

Right now the fishing season is off so all the fishing boats are in the crap and lobster trapa are off for boat maintenance.

This fence post are cool. They continue to grow. When fully grown they make a lovely shadded road.

Random pics of Steve on the porch of where we are staying

Oh cant forget to share the Zeta Propane truck that goes around the neighborhood filling propane bottle. They play a catchy jingle we get into our heads for the day

Life continues here in Roatan

Work continues and we spend our time waiting. We try to entertain ourselves while we wait. This week we spent time at the Reef House, which if you love diving I suggest you check out their packages.

Here I am torturing a local kittie

On Thursday I joined our house hosts to a Christian Concert. The exciting thing is Audrey and Trevor helped open for the headliner Christafari.

They are pretty special.

Today, Steve and I are on a little adventure. We have taken the city bus to see where we end up. Its called a Tiki bus. It is a toyota van basically that they pack as many people as possible and head towards Coxen Hole. We got off for some commercial food that we havent had in awhile.

Here are some recent pics of the boat work. It looks like it wont be long but Steve says its more detail work now so probably a month left. Im praying for less

More pics of the recoring

Things are progressing rapidly and I thought i would just keep everyone up to date with the daily pictures.

They cut into the cabin top yesterday so I imagine they will have it recores in a matter of days

These are pictures from this morning

Here is a picture of Algie, we eat with him just about every afternoon at Dingo'. He drives a water taxi and he stops to eat before his last run.

Oh did i share a pic of my new shoes?  Lol. They are knock off crocks. Just about the only thing to buy around here besides fancy dress sandals. My shoes are falling apart so this will have to do until I can get some better ones. Now i not only walk like a duck I look like one too

Work is progressing in Roatan

Well things seem to be moving right along. Our days consist of morning coffee then head out in the dinghy to check on the boat. We then go over to a little shack where we have been eating twice a day. We call it Dingo' but that isnt the correct name. Here is a little Diva we visited with while eating our morning meal.

After our morning meal we return tothe boat with a lipton ice tea for Kenny, who is doing a great job extremly quickly.
I bring a lipton tea because the caps have an on going game and Im trying to win a scooter. I told Kenny I would give it to him when we leave. Hahah. Here is the progress on the boat

To keep from smothering Kenny while he works we try to find something toentertain  ourselves. This week I asked if I could board a big fuel ship that is docked for repairs. I was granted permission but warned to not get injured. That was a task since the ramp to board was a bit questionable

On board, a gentleman named Bumpy showed us around. He is the watchman for the ship.

Now I want to board a big commercial fishing boat.

We usually end up at some bar and grill just hanging out. We roam from BJ', Reef House, Jonesville Point, Hole in the Wall
