Tied to the dock in Roatan

In preparation for Steve's absence, we docked Saga Sea at Fantasy Island Marina and Resort in Roatan. We dont have a departure date for Steve yet but we will be ready when they call for him.

Steve celebrating San Jacinto day.   San Jacinto Day is the celebration of the Battle of San Jacinto on April 21, 1836. It was the final battle of the Texas Revolution where Texas won its independence from Mexico. It is an official holiday in the State of Texas.

More pictures of our time in Guanaja

Im having some trouble with blogging on my phone still, sorry.

These are of Steve taking Schooner sailing in the dinghy

My inside plants

Steve working on a project. He rebedded the pedestal in the cockpit but needed access in the quarter birth which is our storage area.

This is us waiting for our water taxi on the Cay on supply day with the other shoppers. Well the gringo shoppers. Its always an all day thing because you have to wait until the boats are unloaded then the stores are closed for lunch between 12-2.

Time to Return to Roatan

Well its time to heae to Roatan. Complete some things before Steve takes off to Panama.

As always, we have enjoyed Guanaja. We enjoyed celebrating our friend's, Rosalinda,  birthday.  We spent the day at the beach.

We have spent time with the Holders at Mi Casa Too. Enjoyed Monday night pizza at Hans. Of course the peace and quiet.

Talk to you later

San Andrès to Guanaja

Well I believe we are becoming locals here in the Bay Islands. We are back in Guanaja. We caught a weather window perfectly. We sailed nonstop from San Andres to Guanaja in four days comfortably, which I greatly appreciate.

Besides the sandflies, Guanaja is one of our top favorite places. We love the people and the very laid back island life.  We also appreciate the ease of checking in and out here. Its a great transition place for the Western Caribbean. You have an easy check in and out process with no hassle and you have a relaxing anchorage to unwind after a passage.

We will hang for a week or so and visit with our local friends. Then head for Roatan.

Oh our passage was so smooth. I have a few pictures of a bird stopped for a rest.

I also had a lovely birthday...the big 45. Im enjoying my new phone and megaphone. People better keep their clothes on if they are going to park close to us hahah.
